Amit Agarwal of Digital Inspiration is a power blogger. A computer engineer from IIT, Roorkee, Amit left his job at ADP two years ago, and turned into a professional blogger. He earns more money from his blogging than he did as an engineer. Besides blogging, Amit also provides web consulting services and writes for publications and a TV channel.

Two years ago while working for ADP in Hyderabad, Amit signed for a free blogger account on Google. One of his early posts, which was a product review of an HP printer saw a dramatic traffic spike to his site. Encouraged, he started writing other product and software reviews, and along with that offered productivity tips and other technology information.

Within a year of starting his blog, Amit saw the traffic to his website climb steadily, and today his blog averages about 25.000 visitors. His blog, Digitial Inspiration, is perhaps one of the most widely read Indian blogs on Web 2.0, software and technology. About 50% of the traffic to his site comes from the US.

A methodical person, Amit has a list of 250 blogs on his RSS reader. He often writes 5-6 posts a day and says that he spends 80% of his time reading, researching and reviewing products. Because of time constraint he often has to turn down requests for product reviews.
